Although white wine isn’t my favorite, this one’s a classic. Chateau Ste Michelle hit it out of the park with this Chardonnay. It’s full bodied, smooth and has a spot-on alcohol percentage. And it’s affordable.
$7.99 at Trader Joe’s.
Crisp and bright – pretty much the same as all white wines ever made but I digress 🙄
14% – awwwwwww!
Sweet or dry:
Chardonnay is dry and this particular bottle is no different. Still, oaked Chardonnay’s have a full-bodied quality most white grape varietals are lacking. Ok ok, it’s buttery – yes – but it’s also fruity without being sugary and has a smooth finish.
White wine usually makes me want to turn up and then an inevitable headache ensues. Not the case here. It’s smooth and a great accompaniment to a nice dinner or even good to sip on all day.
On a beautiful day, outdoors and with a lovely BBQ. Bonus points if there’s a pool/beach in splashing distance (it’s 94 in L.A. btw).
