Terribly Unreliable Wine Review : Slow Press Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

I know, I know. Spring is here and summer is right around the corner. And as any good lush knows, warmer weather gives way to light-bodied wine. Before you start guzzling your fav chilled rosé – or sauv blanc – here’s a little something to help you bid red wine season adieu. Although truth be told it’s good enough to drink in any weather but as always, do you boo.

Price:

$15 – $20. A little on the pricey side for me, but er-my-gosh was it worth it. At BevMo it’s about $20 BUT I found it at a semi sketchy liquor store on Melrose for $16 and online for $14.

Aroma:

Warm and strong. But still soft. I think I’m in love. 💞

Alcohol %:

13.5%

Sweet or dry:

It’s definitely not sweet, which is good. Instead, it’s smooth. It feels like velvet on my tongue. Honestly I’m having trouble explaining the wine because I’M IN HEAVEN RIGHT NOW. This is the most perfect bottle of wine ever. Let’s just end the review here. Buy it. Now.

Mood:

The great thing about this wine is that the taste alone demands that you to take your time and savor it. As a result I feel very relaxed, very chill and very happy that I’ve officially found my wine soulmate. 💍

Enjoy it:

While lounging in front of a fire in your home in Aspen whilst naked, draped in diamonds, as a mink blanket covers your soft shoulders and the snow cascades outside your window. Do that.
